How to join

If you have a child that would like to learn to swim (Stage 4 Upwards only to Lex Leisure restrictions), or improve their swimming ability, Paignton Swimming Club can help.

We follow the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming.

The Club will accept children from 5 years old.  Once in the Club, we offer a “Club for Life” – that is, a child entering at 5 years of age can stay in the Club and go on to adulthood.

Application Form

At present, the Club runs a waiting list.

You can email the required details to   with your child’s details which will then be added to our waiting list.

In order to “speed up” the process we carry out regular assessments of those on the waiting list.  We will write or email you, with a date and time for the assessment.  Once completed, the stage that your child has been assessed at will be recorded.  When we get a space at the stage your child has been assessed at, we will then write and offer you a place.

Our membership runs from January to December, therefore all memberships have to be renewed by the end of January.  If you join part way through the year, you will be charged a membership on a pro rata basis.
