How to join
We follow Swim England National Plan for Teaching Swimming.
The Club will accept children from 5 years old. However to comply with LexLeisure’s restrictions, they must be on working on Stage 4 or above. Once in the Club, we offer a “Club for Life” – that is, a child entering at 5 years of age can stay in the Club and go on to adulthood.
At present, the Club runs a waiting list.
In order to “speed up” the process we carry out regular assessments of those on the waiting list.
We will email you, with a date and time for the assessment. Once completed, your child’s assessment will be recorded. When a space at the stage your child has been assessed at becomes available we will then email and offer your child a place.
Our membership runs from January to December, therefore all memberships have to be renewed by the end of January. If you join part way through the year, you will be charged a membership on a pro rata basis.
Currently our membership fees are £50 for a single membership, £115 for a family of 4, £20 for any additional family membership, £20 for a non-voting, non-competing student, and £20 for an second club membership (members of other Swim England clubs). Membership forms can be download from the download links at the bottom of this page.
The majority of the membership fee is paid to Swim England to cover your membership with them, and your insurance.
For new members, there is a one-off joining fee of £6. Late payments will incur a re-joining fee of £10.
