Waterpolo intercounty event success

Well done to 2 of our club’s U13 waterpolo players who have just competed for Devon at Millfield School in the Inter Counties & Inter Regional Tournament this weekend.

Curtis Norris and Yousef Chaabane played outstandingly, helping the team to take an early lead over Gloucestershire.  An exciting game ensued but Devon were dominant throughout leading to an 18-8 win and a gold medal.

Congratulations to all our club members selected to represent the county and the region this weekend.

Paignton Swimmers meet and race Olympians!

Paignton swimmers had an amazing experience, meeting and competing against Olympians Chad le Clos and Max Litchfield, plus other international swimmers at the Dawlish and Dinnaton Open Meet on 9th and 10th July. Eli and our Club Captains Harry and Isobel took them on in the individual 200 backstroke, 50 free and 50 backstroke respectively and our relay teams held their own in the cannon races, which also included these superstar swimmers. As the photos show, they couldn’t have been more generous with their time and support, inspiring everyone with their amazing skills and friendly approach.

The team clocked up a massive total of 51 PBs, with a huge medal haul to recognise their efforts and achievements. Further congratulations should also go to Eli for winning his hot heat and to Phoebe for winning the “chuck-a-duck” competition!

Many thanks to our newest team managers Jo and Debbie for helping to keep the show on the road.

We’d love to see more photos of our swimmers with the stars, so please head over to our Facebook page
and post away!

Keith Facey

It is with great sadness that we learnt of Keith’s passing. He was an integral part of the club for many years and enabled many children to swim and flourish in their swimming career. He served as both a teacher , junior coach and Chairman for many years.

Our sympathies are with Tina, Samantha and Callum at this time.
