The sessions at Bovey this evening will be the same for both 6-7 pm and 7-8 pm groups. You will need your snorkel.
The training session will start with getting the swimmers set up in the pool, socially distanced and outlining the session. Once we have gone through this it will run as follows:
4 x 100 f/c ( snorkels ) NT (= No Time i.e. not swimming each repeat on a set time.)
4 X 100 as 50 f/c drill / 50 bk kick NT
3 X Sets of 5/6 x 50s ( depending on time )
1st as 25 scull / 25 fly drill NT
2nd as 25 scull / 25 bk drill NT
3rd as 25 scull / 25 br drill ( as br pull with fly or f/c kick, no br kick )
For the first few weeks, swimming should be easy, focusing on technique and feel for the water, after this, there will be a very gradual build-up.
It would be appreciated if swimmers can turn up ready to enter the water with their hat, goggles, drink bottle (full ! ) and snorkel.
Lane set up will be as follows:
lane 1 (on the left as you look towards the deep end) lead-off swimmer will be at the deep end, swimming anti-clockwise with the remainder of the swimmers spaced down the pool to the shallow end.
lane 2- lead-off swimmer will be at the shallow end, swimming anti-clockwise with the remainder of the swimmers spaced down the pool to the deep end.
Looking forward to getting back to training.
