Robyn yesterday signed to join Indiana University on a four year Water Polo Scholarship.
Robyn is looking forward to training with her new team, and their world class coaches; in a wonderful facility in addition to studying at a first class University.
There are so many people to thank, especially some very special team mates over the years who will remain friends for life and all the coaches who have showed so much Confidence in Robyn, and supported her every step of the way especially her club coaches:
Doug Litt who was Robyn’s first coach, the team at the Devonport National League side, Theo Nousios, Nick Buller at Otter and Phil Shears and Phil Whiting at Newton Abbot.
Robyn has had a fantastic National Career being in teams that have won two Regional and two National Age Championships as well as a Super Fives Championship; Internationally she has represented England at all age groups levels and GB at three European Championships; she now is very much looking forward to her time with Indiana.
Finally Robyn would like to thank everyone who has helped her reach this very special goal.
Posted version new swimming timetable2018
As you are aware the pool at Torbay leisure centre, Clennon valley, has been closed for refurbishment over the summer. Paignton swimming club has been working with Lex leisure who run the centre to sort the pool times and space that we will be using on our return in September.
With the differences in the pool we have had to have a complete review of squad sizes and training times. The club will from our return to Clennon valley in September be running four separate squads; to allow for the restrictions in pool size and to comply with health and safety regulations. These squads also have new names for a new era.
Whilst we realise that there are changes to the previous times that you maybe swimming, we have tried to be as consistent on days as we could. At present we have managed to bring all squads back to Clennon on all but the normal elected sessions on Tuesdays and Thursday which will remain at Brixham. We have also introduced a long course session at the Mount Kelly 50m facility, Tavistock.
Attached to this email and on the website is the complete layout of the times that we will be using upon our return. Unfortunately this has not been as much as we were originally promised and compromises have had to be made. We are still in talks with Lex leisure about the future.

An effective swimming specific warm up is vital if you want your swimmers to perform to their best in the pool.
We have worked with British Swimming to produce a guide to pre-pool routines for swimmers aged approximately 12 to 16.
The warm ups should be performed in the order:
Swimmers should perform three to five repetitions for between two and four exercises of each sub-stage.
For the prime and activate stages, once a swimmer is able to complete all exercises with good technique and control, they can move to the next level.
