Interclub Gala 2019

Ten Devon teams battled against each other at the Plymouth Life Centre on Sunday for the annual Interclub Gala.  For the second year in a row Paignton Swimming Club achieved an outstanding position to come 3rdbehind Plymouth Leander and the winners Exeter City Swimming Club.  All of the teams’ hard training paid off with fantastic results against the two big swimming clubs.  It was great to see the Paignton team spirit out in force again cheering loudly throughout the gala.  Well done team – very proud!

Devon Relays 2019

A huge contingency of swimmers competed in the Devon Relay gala on Saturday with some age groups entering three relay teams.  For some of the younger swimmers it was their first experience of swimming in a 50m pool.  Head Coach Kev said “this was a great opportunity for our younger swimmers to show the development they have made and their potential to be strong squad swimmers going forward – they rose to the challenge and put in some fantastic swims”.  A massive thank you to all the team managers for organising a successful event; Emma Ashford, Kev Hadley, Emily Hadley, Nicky Hawkins and Jane Bickley.
