Devon County Championships – 1500m

The final event in the Devon County Championships was the long course 1500m, held on Saturday February 23rd at Plymouth Life Centre. Nicole Cook and Alice Brown made history,  as the first two female Paignton swimmers to compete at this distance at county level, taking part in the U13 girls age group, with Junior Captain Harry Joiner swimming in the U15 boys. All 3 were rewarded with medals: silver for Alice, bronze for Nicole and a bronze for Harry, to accompany a Championship medal. Well done to all for stepping up to the challenge of this tough event.
