Paignton swimmers get into the Christmas Spirit

The first weekend in December saw 25 Paignton swimmers compete in the Plymouth Leander Open Meet. A record number of Paignton’s younger swimmers qualified for the South West Regional Age-Group Championships this year and competed at Hengrove and Millfield over two weekends. Bank holiday weekend was the start of the South West Summer Championships. Held at Plymouth, there were six swimmers from Paignton. On Saturday all six swimmers were in action in the 50m Fly. Williams Shield Gala 2018

Two teams were entered in this years Williams Shield gala, where Paignton’s 12 and under swimmers were pitted against those from Brixham, Oddicombe, Newton Abbot and Torquay Leander. Two Counties Open Meet

25 Paignton swimmers entered the Two Counties open meet hosted in Plymouth by Dinnaton and Caradon Swimming clubs over the weekend of 14th/15th April. Paignton swimmers secured a well-earned 3rd place in this year’s inter-club competition. This was a real achievement, particularly as the majority of the 18 strong team were in the lower tier of each age group. Well done to all and we look forward to next year’s event!
